So, why do you go to church? Hebrews 12:25 says "And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near." (NLT)
Benefits of meeting together:
- encouragement
- gain knowledge
- express appreciation
- challenge to grow
- time of reflection
The problem is that many times we are guilty of coming to the place of worship unprepared and with a bad attitude. We allow our personal preferences to interfere with what is important and become selfish with our motives.
What do I need to do before going to church? [Pray, Seek God, Pray, Meditate, Pray, Reflect, Read His Word, Pray, Obey] Do this during the week every week of the year and watch what He does through your life and how your attitude to church will change.
What kind of medication do you recommend before going to church???? Hee hee!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, couldn't let that one slide by without a comment!
In case you don't know what in the world I'm talking about, read the last paragraph of your last post. It gave me a great laugh before bed!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. At least I know someone is reading the comments. By the way, if anyone else is trying to figure out what is so funny, I had used the word medicate in the place of meditate. Enjoy!
